Dick Sharon & Al Terremere SM Co. Hall of Fame Induction
Sequoia Hi takes pride in announcing the inducton of Al Terremere & Dick Sharon to the SM Co. Sports Hall of Fame, June 22, 2004. Dick Sharon was an outstanding baseball player at
Sequoia, later playing pro baseball, as an outfielder for the Detroit Tigers, 1973-74, and San Diego Padres in 1975. He was also an excellent football player. Al Terremere was an outstanding football player at Sequoia & Santa Clara U, later returning to Sequoia to coach football and baseball. Al's teams won 4 league championships, spent 4 years in the south pacific during WW 2, and had he reputation of being a "no nonsense " coach. Terremere Field is named for him.
